Your bank verification process
Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide on how to verify your bank account during sign-up:
Enter your bank account details:
During the sign-up process, you will be prompted to enter your bank account details into the secure fields provided.
Select your verification method:
You will be guided to select your preferred secure method for bank verification. For customers in the Netherlands this is typically done via iDEAL | Wero; for customers in Belgium this is done via Bancontact.
Log in to your bank:
You will be securely redirected to your online banking environment through a trusted third-party service. Please log in using your usual online banking credentials.
Confirm the small transaction:
For verification purposes, our system will request a small charge from your bank account. The amount depends on your payment method: • iDEAL (Netherlands): €0.01 • Bancontact (Belgium): €0.10 This charge confirms the account's ownership and validity.
Keep in mind: This is a verification step. The purpose is to confirm the account.
Accept and process the payment:
Within your online banking environment, you will need to review and accept the verification transaction (€0.01 for iDEAL, €0.10 for Bancontact).
Follow your bank's instructions to process this verification payment.
Confirmation:
Once the transaction is successfully processed, our system will automatically update your account to confirm that your bank details are verified. If you paid via Bancontact, the €0.10 verification charge is automatically refunded once verification succeeds — you will not be out of pocket.
You can then continue with your sign-up process.
