Manual: Hager Witty Plus

On this page you will find the steps to connect the Hager Witty Plus charger to the E-Flux by Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Configuration package E-Flux by Road

    • Contains: EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Installation and operating manual Witty Plus

  • Hager Charge app

  • Configuration device: mobile phone

Follow the steps

Step 1: Download the free Hager Charge app to your mobile device.

Step 2: Follow these steps to complete the pairing process:

  1. Start the application

  2. Accept the general terms and conditions of use

  3. Click on Next

  4. Click to Activate the Bluetooth function

  5. Click on Start pairing

  6. Position the pairing badge on the front of the charging station

  7. Remove the badge when the indicator on the front panel flashes blue from left to right (this action takes approximately 7 seconds)

  8. In the application, confirm by clicking the button. The application performs a scan and displays the device identified

  9. Enter device name (optional)

  10. Click on Pair with this charging station

  11. Confirm by clicking Pair

Step 3: Click on Charging station settings and select General parameters (make sure Installer Mode is activated in the top right).

Step 4: In the General parameters menu, select the Network settings to configure the type of network (WIFI or Wired).

Step 5: After configuring the network settings, go back to the general settings menu and select CPO configuration.

Step 6: Enter the following parameters:

  • Charging point operator address:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/e-flux

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/e-flux

  • OCPP ID: ‘enter the ChargeBoxSerialNumber’

  • Authentication type: None

Step 7: Click on Save to save the settings.

If you are the installer of the charging station, go to Step 8. If you are the owner of the charging station, go to step 9.

Step 8: Complete the following steps to activate the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Login to your Field Service Account or create a Field Service Account via www.e-flux.io/installer-signup*.

  2. Go to “Setup New EVSE” in the menu on the left and enter the serial number or OCPP ID of the station.

  3. Click on “Setup charging station”.

  4. Click on Upload Configuration, then click Next.

  5. Choose and define the connector type, and choose “Save Connector Configuration”.

  6. The charging station is now activated and ready to be registered by the owner!

*A Field Service Account is for installers only and will be used as a point of contact for technical tickets.

Step 9: Complete the following steps to register the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Ask your installer to complete Step 8 to finish the configuration of your charger, or call E-Flux by Road to finish the configuration.

  2. Create an E-Flux by Road account by going to www.e-flux.io/signup.

    • Is this charging station facilitated by your employer? Check your email for the invitation.

  3. Follow the steps to add the location and register your charging station.

  4. Put the sticker with the QR code on the charging station so it’s easier to identify the station if you need support.

  5. The charging station is now registered and ready to be used!

The charging station is now connected to the E-Flux by Road platform!
