Customer account credit limits and trust tiers

Account credit limits are organised into different trust tiers, with each trust tier having a specific monthly spending limit.

Account tiers & credit limits

We use a tiered system to maintain security and prevent fraudulent activity. Your account is assigned to one of four tiers, each with its own specific credit limit.

Additionally, these limits act as control mechanisms to cap the maximum cumulative spend, aiding financial prudence.

How it works

  • Security: Account trust tiers act as a safeguard for both the platform and the user.

  • Transparency: You can monitor your current status and limits at any time.

  • Tracking: View your tier details directly via the E-Flux by Road Dashboard.

    • Log in to e-flux by road account

    • Navigate to account settings

    • Click on "verifications"

What happens when the limit is reached

If you reach your account credit limit (100%), you will no longer be able to charge using that account until the limit resets or is increased.

Billing conditions, such as the resolution of outstanding charges, also impact the ability to continue using the service.

We provide two automatic email notifications to help you manage your credit limit:

  • Warning notification: An email is sent when your account usage reaches 80% of the credit limit.

  • Limit reached notification: A final email is sent when your account usage reaches the full 100% of the credit limits.

Additionally, it is recommended to monitor your account usage proactively and request a limit review when approaching the 80% threshold.

Automated tier upgrade

The system automatically promotes accounts based on the following criteria:

Accounts created before February 11, 2026

Automatic upgrades to Tier 2 apply only to accounts created after February 11, 2026.

If your account was created before this date and you are currently in Tier 1, your account will not be upgraded automatically, even if you verify your bank account.

To move to Tier 2, please follow the steps below under “Requesting a Manual Upgrade.”

Requesting a tier upgrade

If you find that your current account credit limit is not sufficient for your needs (Tier 2 or higher), you can request an upgrade to a higher tier.

To do this, please reach out to our human support team by either typing "I want to talk to a human" in the chat or send an email. They will review your account to determine if an upgrade to a higher tier is possible.

Requesting a tier downgrade

If you wish to lower your current trust tier to better manage your monthly spending or enhance account security, please note that this process must be handled by our human support team. For security reasons, tiers cannot be downgraded automatically.

To request a change, please reach out to our team by typing "talk to a human" in the chat. Our specialists will manually review your account and adjust your limit to the desired tier. Once the downgrade is processed, the new credit limit will take effect immediately for your remaining billing period.
