Why are the terms & conditions being updated?
We’re dedicated to continually improving our eMobility platform to support the future of electric charging. Our aim is to give you the best possible experience while keeping everything transparent and legally compliant.
As the EV charging landscape and its regulations keep evolving, we’ve updated our terms to reflect new features and improvements, to keep pace with new European rules, and to set out more clearly the responsibilities and protections for both parties. We encourage you to review them here.
Will these changes affect the way I can use E-Flux by Road services?
No, you can continue using E-Flux by Road products as you normally would.
What are the main changes?
We recommend you read the updated terms and conditions in full. Here are some of the key changes summarised:
Updates reflecting new European rules on cybersecurity (NIS2) and charging infrastructure (AFIR), and what they mean for you.
Clearer responsibilities for customers who own or operate charge points, including hardware compliance and transparent, fair pricing.
Clearer rules on sharing your charge point data with third parties, which is only permitted through a connection we authorise, and on the security of any Road SIM card we provide.
Confirmation that we do not support negative pricing for charging sessions.
Clearer terms on how charging prices are shown, including dynamic pricing, that is transparently displayed for you to check via the app.
Clarification of VAT treatment for ad hoc payment options (Tap to Pay and Scan to Pay).
If an ad hoc payment (Tap to Pay or Scan to Pay) is later reversed or charged back, we may withhold or reclaim the related reimbursement and pass on any associated fees to the Customer.
If a monthly reimbursement totals EUR 2 or less, it may be carried over to the next month
Updates to how we handle fraud, misuse, and payment reversals, to keep the network secure and affordable.
An update to our liability terms, including situations outside our control, such as the skimming or misuse of charge cards by third parties.
An update to our terms on credit checks and credit limits.
Clearer terms on when your agreement starts, how it renews, and how to cancel.
Simpler ways to cancel a charge card or withdraw, directly via the platform.
Your responsibility to keep your administrative email address up to date.
Where can I read the entire document?
You can find the revised T&Cs here.
When will the updated T&Cs take effect?
For existing customers, the updated T&Cs will take effect on 1 September 2026. Immediately for new customers.
What if I have a separate agreement with E-Flux by Road stating additional terms or exemptions to the terms & conditions?
Any other agreement you have with E-Flux by Road is still valid, and takes priority over the current and revised version of our terms & conditions.
Are there any changes to the pricing of E-Flux by Road services?
The changes we made to our terms are unrelated to any price changes for E-Flux by Road services.
What if my access to the Services depends on an agreement with my building or site host (e.g., a homeowners association)?
In some cases, your access to the Services relies on an agreement between E-Flux by Road and a site host, such as a homeowners’ association. If that agreement ends for any reason, we may end your agreement, or the affected part of it, by giving you 30 calendar days’ written notice. You can object within 15 calendar days of receiving that notice, giving your reasons. Any subscription fees remain payable for the remainder of your initial subscription term.
Why can E-Flux by Road change the terms & conditions?
Our current Terms and Conditions state that we can make modifications to them.
How do I accept the new terms?
You are not required to take any action, you can continue to use E-Flux by Road services as usual.
What if I don’t agree with the new terms?
Please contact our Support team so we can understand your concern. Any separate agreement you have with E-Flux by Road still applies and takes priority over these terms. If you have a charge card, you can cancel it at any time via the platform. If you believe you have a legal right to object to a change, contact our Support Team.
What if I have other questions?
