Account access and recovery

Written by Sjoerd Kortekaas

We understand that losing a phone or switching devices happens. To make sure you never get locked out of your charging dashboard, E-Flux provides self-service recovery tools so you can regain access safely and quickly.

Key terms to know

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA / MFA): a security process where you provide two separate forms of identity verification before accessing your account (e.g., your normal password plus a temporary phone code).

  • Recovery email: a secondary email address that you can register to help confirm your identity if you ever lose your login devices.

Setting up a recovery email

You can register a secondary recovery email address under Settings → Password & Authentication.

  • Why set a recovery email: your recovery email must be completely separate from your primary account email. If you ever lose access to your primary inbox or mobile device, our Support team can send a verification code to your recovery email to confirm your identity before assisting you.

What to do if you are locked out

If you have lost your phone, changed your phone number, deleted your authenticator app, or are otherwise unable to receive your 6-digit MFA code:

  1. Do not create a new account: creating a duplicate account will not link your existing charging stations or billing history.

  2. Contact Support: start a chat with our Support team here.

  3. Identity check and factor reset: our Support team will perform a quick security verification (checking your registered recovery email or recent invoice details). Once verified, Support will reset your authentication factors so you can log back in and set up MFA fresh on your new device.
