Custom location name on maps

How to show your own brand name instead of "E-Flux" on public charging maps, for one location or your whole account.

Written by Bob Gerrmann

If you own the location your chargers are installed at, you can show your own brand name on public charging maps instead of the default "E-Flux" name.

What is a custom location name?

Maps that show charging locations can display a custom name for your business instead of "E-Flux". For example, if your business is called "Green Parking", that name can appear on the map instead. This name is shown wherever the map provider supports displaying it.

How to set your custom location name

There are two ways to set your custom name, depending on whether you want it applied to your whole account or to a single location.

Option 1: Set it for your whole account
This applies the same custom name to every location in your account.

  1. Log in to your E-Flux by Road dashboard.

  2. Go to My account → Suboperator settings.

  3. Enter your custom location name.

Option 2: Set it for a single location
This applies a custom name to just one location, overriding the account-wide name for that location only.

  1. Log in to your E-Flux by Road dashboard.

  2. Go to My Locations.

  3. Select the location you want to rename.

  4. Edit the location.

  5. Enter your custom name for that location.

If you set a custom name for a specific location, it will always be used for that location, even if you later change your account-wide name.

Things to know
