An EVSE ID is a unique number assigned to a charging station. This number is displayed on the platform and serves as identification for roaming and can be used for support. It is necessary to stick an EVSE ID on chargers at (semi)public locations. This EVSE ID contains a numeric code and also used to have a country code, but this is no longer necessary today. Based on the country of the location, we share the EVSE ID in roaming with a country code, but this is not visible on the sticker.

The EVSE ID can be used by the customer during registration to register the charging station. If the customer does not have an EVSE ID, the customer can indicate that he does not have one and one will be generated automatically. In addition, the customer can indicate that he wants to receive one afterwards. These orders are then reflected in your order list. If you register a charger yourself, you can generate an EVSE ID while adjusting the charger settings (Adjust EVSE Controller).

Generating new EVSE IDs

EVSE IDs can easily be generated in the platform for printing purposes (sticker). This is done as follows:

  1. In the menu, go to 'CPO / EVSE IDs';

  2. Click on 'Generate new batch';

  3. Select the number of EVSE IDs you want to generate;

  4. Assign an attribute to your batch;

  5. Create the batch stickers;

  6. In your overview, you can now select the batch to export the batch.

Note: If you want to generate EVSE IDs with multiple connectors (1232334*C1 to 1232334*C16) you can indicate this during the process. You can use this for charging systems with one OCPP ID and multiple connectors, often useful for charging post manufacturers using Client and Server systems.

Send EVSE ID

EVSE IDs you can send to clients in advance or afterwards if they have indicated this during the registration process. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In the menu, go to 'CPO / EVSE IDs';

  2. Select 'Assignment requests';

  3. Now you will see the list of EVSE IDs you can send.
