How do I adjust the kWh rate?

When you want to change your kWh rate

Adjusting the tariff

Pricing adjustments cannot be made via the mobile app.

Before proceeding, ensure that you have the necessary permissions depending on your account type (e.g., account admin for VvE, employee stations, or residential associations).

For example, only company accounts can set or change tariffs for employee locations, while employees can view charger data but require admin rights to modify tariffs.

For employee (home charging) locations specifically: only the account admin (e.g., the employer) can set or change the tariff, unless they've granted the employee permission to set their own rate (see below). This is typically your employer, VvE manager, fleet operator, or lease company — for assistance, contact the administrator of your organisation's E-Flux account.

Want your employee to be able to set their own rate instead? See Flexible home charging reimbursement for how to enable this, with a maximum you control.

  1. Log in to your account;

  2. Navigate to My Locations;

  3. Click on the name of the relevant location;

  4. Navigate to Price settings;

  5. Select the relevant charger and modify its pricing settings;

Adjust the kWh rate. You can choose between a start tariff and a kWh tariff. There is also a time tariff. This time tariff runs from the start of the session. Note: for employee (home charging) reimbursement locations, only the kWh tariff is available — start and time tariffs are only offered for business/organisation-reimbursed locations. The default pricing displayed on maps or apps includes the owner-set tariffs, roaming costs, and VAT fees. However, if you're charging at an E-Flux station, roaming fees do not apply.

Additionally, E-Flux does not set its own tariffs or add mark-ups for public or home charging stations, ensuring transparency and fairness in pricing.

Further, residential associations managing stations should input net prices (e.g., €0.16) within the E-Flux dashboard, with final prices reflecting VAT (e.g., €0.1899 including 19% VAT). E-Flux ensures transparent pricing by invoicing exactly the rates provided, without additional markup for home or public stations.

This approach ensures transparency by invoicing users based on the exact costs received from the charging station provider or operator.

  1. Click on Update.

Viewing Reimbursement and Pricing Details

To monitor pricing and manage reimbursements as a charging station owner:

  1. Log in to your E-Flux dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the 'My Self-billing invoices' section.

  3. Download and review the invoiced details for transparency regarding kWh transactions.

Permissions recap: who can change tariffs?

  • For employee stations under a company account: only the company account (admin) has permission to set or change the tariff, unless admin rights — or self-service tariff permission (see above) — are granted to the employee.

  • For VvE accounts: rates must be adjusted by an account admin within the VvE management.

  • For residential associations: updates go via the dashboard, ensuring VAT compliance.

Typically, authorized users such as account administrators within an organization have the right to make these changes. For assistance, contact the administrator of your organization's E-Flux account.
