Why do I pay a different rate than I set?

Charge card providers and their rates

Some charge card providers set their own rates for using their cards. Here's how it works:

Example scenario:

  • Charge card provider's rate: €0.50 per kWh (fixed rate).

  • Your rate: €0.40 per kWh (fee you have set).

In this case, you end up paying more to the charge card provider because they charge a fixed rate for each kWh used.

Key takeaway:

Always check your charge card provider’s rates to understand what you are paying. If you prefer a more predictable cost, you can switch to the E-Flux by Road charge card. With this option, you only pay the rate you’ve set on the charging station—no extra costs involved.
