Guide for Veton

Step 1. Check network cable.

Make sure the controller is connected to the network by a network cable and a router or a switch on one side and the ETH0 port of the charge controller on the other side.

Step 2. Turn on the circuit breaker/fuse.

Wait for about 5 minutes for the controller to start up after turning the circuit breaker/fuse on.

Step 3. Go to the address of the controller.

If a DHCP server exists in the network, the controller will automatically be assigned an IP address and a host name. You can reach the controller by going to http://ev3000.local/. If problems occur this way, go directly to the IP address of the controller (see below).

Run the following command in Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Mac) to perform a ping to the hostname.

  • ping ev3000.local -4 (Windows)

  • ping ev3000.local (Mac)

In this example, the IP address is 192.168.0.172. Go to http://192.168.0.172/ to reach the controller.

Step 4. Log in In the web interface. Click on the indicated icon to log in. Enter the following information in the window that appears.

Username: manufacturer Password: manufacturer

Step 5. Navigate to the configuration page of the charge point.

In the menu click on the “Charging park”, then on “Charging stations” and search for the charging point in question.

Next, click on the name and navigate to “Configuration”.

Step 6. Adjust the settings of the charger.

Scroll down until you see “Release Mode”.

From the drop-down list, select “By OCPP”. When there are multiple charge points connected to the same group of controllers you must also select the controller to which the RFID reader is connected. The OCPP ID must be unique for each charge point. The first charge point can be “1” for example, the second can be “2” etc.

Click “Save changes” after you have finished.

Step 7. Adjust the OCPP configuration.

In the menu click on “Charging park”, then on “OCPP” and after that on “Configuration”. Fill in the serial number of your charger in the “Chargestation serial number” field and write the model of your charger

(“Veton_ONE”, “Veton_TWO”, “Veton_WALL” or “Veton_WallPlus”).

Next, click “Save”.

Step 8. Check the date and time.

Click on “System control” and then on “Time”. Make sure that the date and time are set correctly. If they are not, change them so that they match the date and time on your computer.

If any changes were made, click on “Save”.

If the date and time were not set correctly, you will be asked to log in again.

Step 9. Adjust network settings.

Click on “System control” in the menu and then on “Network”. Make sure that the “No Gateway” field has no check mark.

If any changes were made click on “Save”.

Step 10. Restart the controller.

Click on “System control” in the menu and then on “Status”. After that click on “Reboot system” and wait for 5 minutes for the controller to restart.

As of now the charger should be added to the platform of the OCPP-provider.

The charging station is now linked to the Road platform!
