On this page you will find the steps to connect the Mennekes charger to the E-Flux by Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Configuration package E-Flux by Road

    • Contains: Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Cable (Included with charging station)

  • Configuration device: laptop/mobile phone

  • Mennekes installation manual:

Follow the steps:

Step 1: After a safe installation of the Mennekes charger with the help of the installation manual, you can set up a connection with the charger to change the configuration. This can be done by connecting a PC or laptop to the charger and takes place in the Mennekes web interface.

  • USB

    • Connect the PC or laptop to the charger with a USB cable

    • Open the web browser and enter the following address in the searchbar: http://192.168.123.123

  • Ethernet

    • Connect the PC or laptop to the charger with an ethernet cable

    • Change the network settings of the PC or laptop to the following values:

      • IPv4-adres: 192.168.124.21

      • Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0

      • Standard gateway: 192.168.124.1

    • Open the web browser and enter the following address in the searchbar: http://192.168.124.123

  • Network

    • Connect the charger to the network via ethernet

    • Connect a PC or laptop to the same network via the router/switch

    • Open the web browser and enter the IP address of the charger (e.g. http://192.168.0.70)

Step 2: A window will appear where you can log in. Login with the username operator. The password can be found on your own supplied data sheet.

Note: each socket has its own password to log in to the web interface

Step 3: Once you’ve logged into the web interface, go to Network to configure the GSM or LAN settings. If you’re using the GSM connection method, please fill in the following details:

  • Access Point Name (APN): m2m.services

  • All other data will be filled in automatically and you can leave it as it is

Step 4: Click on save to save the network settings.

Step 5: Click on Backend and enter the following data:

  • Connection Type: GSM or Ethernet

  • OCPP ChargeBoxIdentity: Enter the unique serial number of your charger here. If you have received an EVSE ID (NL*EFL*EV*1234567) from E-flux by Road, enter this number here.

  • OCPP Mode: OCPP-J 1.6

  • Websockets JSON OCPP URL of the backend: ws://ocpp.e-flux.nl/1.6/e-flux

Leave the rest of the settings as they are.

Step 6: Click on save and reset the charging station.

If you are the installer of the charging station, go to Step 7. If you are the owner of the charging station, go to step 8.

Step 7: Complete the following steps to activate the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Login to your Field Service Account or create a Field Service Account via www.e-flux.io/installer-signup*.

  2. Go to “Setup New EVSE” in the menu on the left and enter the serial number or OCPP ID of the station.

  3. Click on “Setup charging station”.

  4. Click on Upload Configuration, then click Next.

  5. Choose and define the connector type, and choose “Save Connector Configuration”.

  6. The charging station is now activated and ready to be registered by the owner!

*A Field Service Account is for installers only and will be used as a point of contact for technical tickets.

Step 8: Complete the following steps to register the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Ask your installer to complete Step 7 to finish the configuration of your charger, or call E-Flux by Road to finish the configuration.

  2. Create an E-Flux by Road account by going to www.e-flux.io/signup.

    • Is this charging station facilitated by your employer? Check your email for the invitation.

  3. Follow the steps to add the location and register your charging station.

  4. Put the sticker with the QR code on the charging station so it’s easier to identify the station if you need support.

  5. The charging station is now registered and ready to be used!

The charging station is now linked to the Road platform!
