On this page you will find the steps to connect the Keba charger to the E-Flux by Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

Follow the steps

Step 1: Make sure the laptop is connected to the charger with the UTP cable

Step 2: Login to the web interface by following the manual from KEBA. You can enter the web interface via LAN, WiFi or the WLAN Hotspot

Note: make sure DIP-Switch 2.5 is enabled, see the installation manual for an instruction.

2.1 Entering the interface via the Hotspot of the charger (you may want to use this option as the easiest option)

  • Scan for WiFi network with your device (smartphone, laptop or Ipad).

  • Find the KEBA Charging station.

  • Log in with the credentials which can be found on the label.

  • Now go to the IP address of the web interface.

2.2 Entering the interface via a LAN connection.

  • The customer can connect a UTP cable between the charging station and the laptop.

  • The charging station can switch between the following IP addresses: “192.168.178.1”, “192.168.179.1” or

    “192.168.187.1”.

  • The laptop should be configured as ‘'Obtain an IP Address automatically’'.

  • Now go to Google Chrome.

  • Restart the charger.

  • Fill in the IP address that appears on the screen or one of these: “192.168.178.1”, “192.168.179.1” or

    “192.168.187.1”.

2.3 Entering the interface via WiFi

  • The laptop must be connected with the same internet network as the charging station.

  • The master automatically receives an IP address via the DHCP server of the router; the IP address is shown on the display of the charging station when it is (re)started. The master's DCHP server has to be deactivated.

  • Fill in this IP Address in the browser of the laptop.

Step 3: Change the device settings

3.1 Take over the settings as you can see in the device section.

3.2 Now take over the settings in the network section:

NEEDS TO BE ADDED - IMAGE IN CONFLUENCE IS WRONG

3.3 Now fill in the settings, just like you see in the configuration below. Please fill in the following:

  • Chargepoint identity = same as serial number

  • OCPP communication type = OCPP 1.6 JSON

  • Central System Address =

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ocpp.road.io

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ocpp-internal.road.io

  • Central System Port = 80

  • Central System Path = /e-flux

  • Secure central system connection = OFF

  • Central System Authentication Method = None

  • Reconnect Interval = 60

  • WebSocket Ping Interval = 60

  • Predefined token = Don’t fill in anything

  • Meter values during charging session = 3000 or 500

Note:
When using a purple Road SIM card the APN name should be changed to: road.io. When using the white Road SIM card or another SIM card the APN name should be m2m.services

Step 4: Now Save the configuration.
