On this page you will find the steps to connect the ABB Terra AC charger to the E-Flux by Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Configuration package E-Flux by Road

    • Contains: Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Installation guide ABB Terra AC

  • Mobile phone + ABB TerraConfig app

Follow the steps:

Step 1: Send an email to [email protected] with your email address and a username at least one day before the installation takes place. This is necessary because E-Flux will create an account for you with which you can log into the app and access the E-Flux settings. After E-Flux has created an account for you, you will receive an email with a temporary password. Be careful! This email may end up in your spam and has a special sender: noreply.autosender

Step 2: Download the app and log in with the temporary password and username you provided. You can find this in the email.

Step 3: Before you can proceed, you must renew the password first.

Step 4: Connect the charging station by clicking 'Connect Charger'. The charger will appear with the serial number. Click on it and enter the 8-digit code written on a white sheet (sticker) provided with the charging station. Then click save.

Step 5: Once the charger is connected, it is important that the firmware on the charging station is up-to-date. You do this by clicking on 'Device Sync', then check under firmware info that the most recent version is set.

Step 6: Under Configuration, click on 'OCPP Server' to connect the charging station to E-Flux. (If you have a working internet connection and you see the bottom two lights on the charging station turn green, you can connect the charging station to E-Flux).

Step 7: Press 'enable external access'. If you got an account from E-Flux, you can select the E-Flux server. Click OK and restart the charging station.

Step 8: Enable RFID: go to device settings, click nfc device settings and click enable.

If you are the installer of the charging station, go to step 9. If you are the owner of the charging station, go to step 10.

Step 9: Complete the following steps to activate the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Login to your Field Service Account or create a Field Service Account via www.e-flux.io/installer-signup*.

  2. Go to Setup New EVSE in the menu on the left and enter the serial number or OCPP ID of the station.

  3. Click on Setup charging station.

  4. Click on Upload Configuration, then click Next.

  5. Choose and define the connector type, and choose Save Connector Configuration.

  6. The charging station is now activated and ready to be registered by the owner!

*A Field Service Account is for installers only and will be used as a point of contact for technical tickets.

Step 10: Complete the following steps to register the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Ask your installer to complete Step 9 to finish the configuration of your charger, or call E-Flux by Road to finish the configuration.

  2. Create an E-Flux by Road account by going to www.e-flux.io/signup.

    • Is this charging station facilitated by your employer? Check your email for the invitation.

  3. Follow the steps to add the location and register your charging station.

  4. Put the sticker with the QR code on the charging station so it’s easier to identify the station if you need support.

  5. The charging station is now registered and ready to be used!

The charging station is now connected to the E-Flux by Road platform!
