On this page you will find the steps to connect the E-Lift charger to the E-Flux by Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Configuration package E-Flux by Road

    • Contains: Sim card, EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Installation guide E-Lift

  • RNDIS driver

  • Configuration device: computer

  • USB cable

Follow the steps

Step 1: Insert the simcard as shown in the image below.


Step 2: Connect the USB-C cable to the charging controller on the USB port.

Step 3: Download the RNDIS driver for your computer. The driver can be found at http://catalog.update.microsoft.com

Step 4: Look for the USB / RNDIS if the USB is connected to the USB-C on the charging controller:

Step 5: Set the IP address:

Step 6: In the internet browser, go to IP address: 192.168.5.1 to connect to the controller.

Step 7: Log in to the controller: (top right)

Step 8: You can log in with the following users:

Step 9: Go to the OCPP settings to set up the E-flux by Road connection.

Step 10: Enter the backend URL and the ID of E-Flux, the network Interface for a GSM connection should be set to Cellular Network. The backend URL should be
ws://ocpp.e-flux.nl/1.6/e-flux/*SerialNumberChargePoint*. Please fill in the serial number of the charge point after the “/”.


Step 11: Get the modem settings right.

Step 12: Install the latest firmware, find the current version here:

Step 13: Install software: https://www.phoenixcontact.com/nl-nl/

  • Example of an update:

Step 14: Reboot the charging controller after all settings and steps have been performed.

  • When the controller is online after the reboot, the LINK LED on the front will be permanently on, APP will flash red while connecting to E-flux by Road until it is fully online.

If you are the installer of the charging station, go to step 15. If you are the owner of the charging station, go to step 16.

Step 15: Complete the following steps to activate the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Login to your Field Service Account or create a Field Service Account via www.e-flux.io/installer-signup*.

  2. Go to “Setup New EVSE” in the menu on the left and enter the serial number or OCPP ID of the station.

  3. Click on “Setup charging station”.

  4. Click on Upload Configuration, then click Next.

  5. Choose and define the connector type, and choose “Save Connector Configuration”.

  6. The charging station is now activated and ready to be registered by the owner!

*A Field Service Account is for installers only and will be used as a point of contact for technical tickets.

Step 16: Complete the following steps to register the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Ask your installer to complete Step 15 to finish the configuration of your charger, or call E-Flux by Road to finish the configuration.

  2. Create an E-Flux by Road account by going to www.e-flux.io/signup.

    • Is this charging station facilitated by your employer? Check your email for the invitation.

  3. Follow the steps to add the location and register your charging station.

  4. Put the sticker with the QR code on the charging station so it’s easier to identify the station if you need support.

  5. The charging station is now registered and ready to be used!

The charging station is now connected to the E-Flux by Road platform!
