On this page you will find the steps to connect the eNovates charger to the E-Flux by Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Configuration package E-Flux by Road

    • Contains: Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Laptop equipped with a Windows operating system

  • UTP cable (RJ45)

Follow the steps:

Step 1: connect the laptop to the chargingstation with the UTP cable by connecting the cable on the Ethernet port on the left side of the motherboard.

Step 2: Go to the Network settings on your laptop. Select Change adapter settings.

Step 3: Right mouse click on the ethernet connection and select Properties

Step 4: Double click on Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

Step 5: Change the network settings as listed in the screenshot below and click OK to proceed.

Step 6: Open your browser and enter the following URL: http://192.168.10.42:12800/admin/admin.html you will now enter the chargepoint homepage.

Step 7: Fill in the following information:

  • ChargePointID: Serialnumber of the charger or EVSE-id as on the sticker from E-flux.

  • ChargepointModel: Type of charging station

  • ChargeBoxSerialNumber: Box Serial of the chargestation (view grey sticker on the chargestation)

  • ChargepointVendor: eNovates

Step 8: Fill in the OCPP settings

  • OCPP type: OCPP 1.6

  • Endpoint: Other

  • Endpoint URL: ws://ocpp.e-flux.nl/1.6/e-flux

If you want to connect the charger to the E-flux by Road backoffice with a simcard proceed to step 9, if you want to connect using a Ethernet cable proceed to step 10

Step 9: Click on Network settings. Fill in the following:

  • Preset: Simcard

  • Type: Modem

  • APN: m2m.services

  • Username: *Leave empty*

  • Password: *Leave empty*

Press Apply and restart the charger

Step 10: Click on Network settings and fill in the following settings:

Steps to take with a charging station wich is able to set up his own IP-address:

  • Preset: Ethernet DHCP connection

  • Type: eth0 dhcp

  • ETH0 DHCP: No additional settings

Steps to take with a charging station wich is not able to set up his own IP-address

  • Type: eth0 static

  • Change the settings as shown below

Press Apply and restart the charger

Step 11: Go to BackendLink Status. Here you can check if the charger is connected to the E-flux by Road backoffice. You can see this if the status says Online=true.

If you are the installer of the charging station, go to Step 12. If you are the owner of the charging station, go to step 13.

Step 12: Complete the following steps to activate the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Login to your Field Service Account or create a Field Service Account via www.e-flux.io/installer-signup*.

  2. Go to “Setup New EVSE” in the menu on the left and enter the serial number or OCPP ID of the station.

  3. Click on “Setup charging station”.

  4. Click on Upload Configuration, then click Next.

  5. Choose and define the connector type, and choose “Save Connector Configuration”.

  6. The charging station is now activated and ready to be registered by the owner!

*A Field Service Account is for installers only and will be used as a point of contact for technical tickets.

Step 13: Complete the following steps to register the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:

  1. Ask your installer to complete Step 12 to finish the configuration of your charger, or call E-Flux by Road to finish the configuration.

  2. Create an E-Flux by Road account by going to www.e-flux.io/signup.

    • Is this charging station facilitated by your employer? Check your email for the invitation.

  3. Follow the steps to add the location and register your charging station.

  4. Put the sticker with the QR code on the charging station so it’s easier to identify the station if you need support.

  5. The charging station is now registered and ready to be used!

The charging station is now connected to the E-Flux by Road platform!
