Follow the steps
Stap 1: Download the X Smart app from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.
Stap 2: Create an account in the X Smart app by clicking on Click to register.
Step 3: Login with your newly created account and click on Add Device.
Note: Ensure that the device can reliably connect to the router network and that the signal is stable.
Step 4: Click on the blue device that’s shown under Nearby device.
Step 5: Select the right network method (WiFi, 4G Network or Ethernet) in the menu Link Network and configure the settings to connect the device to the network.
Step 6: Click on Choose another protocol at the bottom of the screen and click on New configuration to add the E-Flux by Road backoffice settings.
Step 7: Enter the following values in the New configuration menu:
Protocol version: ocpp1.6
Protocol head: ws://
Protocol vendor: E-Flux by Road
Socket Url: ws://ocpp.e-flux.nl/1.6/e-flux/{deviceId}
Note: The {deviceId} at the end of the URL is automatically replaced by the serial number of the device when connecting to the backoffice, so you don't need to enter the serial number at the end of the URL.
Step 8: Press Confirm after entering the right network and protocol settings. The device will now be trying to connect to the network and the E-Flux by Road server.
If you are the installer of the charging station, go to Step 9. If you are the owner of the charging station, go to step 10.
Step 9: Complete the following steps to activate the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:
Login to your Field Service Account or create a Field Service Account via www.e-flux.io/installer-signup*.
Go to “Setup New EVSE” in the menu on the left and enter the serial number or OCPP ID of the station.
Click on “Setup charging station”.
Click on Upload Configuration, then click Next.
Choose and define the connector type, and choose “Save Connector Configuration”.
The charging station is now activated and ready to be registered by the owner!
*A Field Service Account is for installers only and will be used as a point of contact for technical tickets.
Step 10: Complete the following steps to register the station on the E-Flux by Road platform:
Ask your installer to complete Step 9 to finish the configuration of your charger, or call E-Flux by Road to finish the configuration.
Create an E-Flux by Road account by going to www.e-flux.io/signup.
Is this charging station facilitated by your employer? Check your email for the invitation.
Follow the steps to add the location and register your charging station.
Put the sticker with the QR code on the charging station so it’s easier to identify the station if you need support.
The charging station is now registered and ready to be used!
The charging station is now connected to the E-Flux by Road platform!
