  • User Manual IES Synergy

  • InTools-QuickGuide IES Synergy

  • Configuration device: laptop

Follow the steps

Step 1: Determine the OCPP version of the charger by clicking on the information button on the display. If the software is not on version V021, contact IES support for an upgrade.

Step 3: Change the network settings of your PC by navigating to Control Panel Home → Network and Internet → Ethernet → Properties → Protocol Internet version4 (TCP/IPv4). Dependent on the location the ethernet cable is connected to, you may enter the IP address as shown in the picture below:

  • Location 1: 192.168.111.100

  • Location 2: 192.168.254.100

Step 4: After configuring the right network settings on your PC, enter the IP-address of the location in your preferred web browser:

Step 5: Once the web interface has opened, you can login to the program with one of the following passwords:

  • OPERATOR: iamoperator

  • INSTALLER: iaminstaller

  • PROVIDER: iamadmin

Step 6: Select the Connectivity Setup once you’re logged into the InTools interface and start the configuration.

Step 7: Enter the following values in the Backend settings to connect the charger to the E-Flux by Road backend:

  • Protocol Type: JSON

  • Endpoint (Identification address): ws://ocpp.e-flux.nl/1.6/e-flux

  • Port Listened: 8080

  • Charger Identifier: ‘Enter the unique serial number of the charger’

  • Authorize When Offline Full: false

Step 8: Configure the Communication settings according to the network method used to setup the connection:

  • Modem (SIM):

    • APN: m2m.services

    • APN Username: ‘Leave empty’

    • APN Password: ‘Leave empty’

Note: The APN settings shown above are only applicable to the E-Flux by Road SIM card.

  • Ethernet:

    • Use DHCP to automatically assign an IP-address to the charger, or use Static IP to assign the IP-address manually.

Step 9: Continue to the Summary to check the changes and proceed to the Validation menu to save the configuration.

Note: After saving the configuration, the charger will reboot and connect to the E-Flux by Road backend, assuming the backend and network settings are configured correctly.
