What is Plug&Charge?
Plug&Charge is a feature in the charging station designed to simplify the charging process. Instead of using a charge card or app, payment and authentication are handled directly between the vehicle and the charging station. As a result, there is no need to authorize a charge card to start charging. Once the vehicle is connected to the charging station, authorization takes place automatically. When you enable Plug & Charge and link a charging card to your station, all sessions initiated by plugging in the cable will automatically be billed to the linked card. This ensures seamless charging while also requiring proper setup to link the correct card.
How to set up your charging station for Plug&Charge
Would you like to activate Plug&Charge and take advantage of this convenient feature? E-Flux by Road can enable Plug&Charge for you through the service request form. Alternatively, you can choose to disable Plug&Charge if you prefer manual authentication for each session.
Follow the steps below to set up Plug&Charge on your charging station:
Go to the change charging station settings form.
Select the set up Plug&Charge service.
Fill out the accompanying form to schedule the service.
A technician will configure the settings and activate the functionality on your charging station.
The costs will be billed later via invoice.
Important considerations
Charge card required: at E-Flux by Road, your charge card must be registered in advance, even when using Plug&Charge.
Reimbursement: if you want to claim charging costs, your charge card must be linked to your account. Without registration, reimbursement is not possible.- Whitelist configuration: Ensure that the chip code, not the card number, is registered to avoid errors during charging. The chip code can be retrieved using an NFC reader app on your phone.
Troubleshooting Automatic Charging Sessions
If charging sessions seem to start automatically without authorization by a card, check the following:
Confirm if the Plug&Charge feature is enabled at the station.
If it is, disable the feature to require manual authentication before a session begins. This step ensures better control and avoids unwanted sessions.
