Already registering your EREs elsewhere? Here's what that means for Voltico

Everything you need to know about registering your EREs

Why can't my charging data be registered twice?

Emission Reduction Units (EREs) can only be registered once per charged kWh. The Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa) does not allow the same charging data to be submitted through more than one booking service provider (inboekdienstverlener) at the same time, this prevents the same emission reduction from being counted, and paid out, twice.

Already registered with another provider?

During sign-up, you're asked to indicate whether your charging data is already being registered with another provider. It's your responsibility to answer this correctly. We or Voltico don't automatically detect this on our ends. What happens next depends on your situation:

  • If your current registration has ended
Once your charging data is no longer being registered elsewhere, you're free to connect to Voltico through E-Flux by Road. You can pick up your registration here, or read through the full sign-up process in Claiming ERE Payouts with E-Flux by Road and Voltico first.

  • If you're still registered with your current provider
You can continue exactly as you do today, including sharing your charging data manually if that's your current process. This usually means periodically exporting your charging sessions yourself and sending them on to your current provider. If you're not sure how to do this, you can find step-by-step instructions here: how to export your charging data.

Right now, the automatic, direct data-sharing connection through E-Flux by Road is only available with Voltico, but we're working on expanding this to other booking service providers over time.

If you prefer to switch, you are always free to end your agreement with your current provider on your own terms, at which point you can connect to Voltico through E-Flux by Road.
