We want to keep your account secure and make sure you are always aware of activity on your charge card or token.
Why does this matters?
Not everyone uses the mobile app or has notifications enabled. To ensure all users stay informed, we introduced an email notification for charging sessions. These notifications cover both the start and end of sessions. This update helps customers who do not use the app or have notifications disabled stay aware of all activity on their account.
Email confirmation
For every charging session with your E-flux by Road card or token, you will receive automatic email notifications for both the start and end of the session.
Please note: these notifications are only sent to customers who have a verified email address. If you wish to receive the notification after charging but have not yet verified your email address you can read how to do so in this help article.
What the Email includes
The location where the charging session took place
The energy used (kWh)
The duration of the session
The email acts as an instant confirmation that your charging session has successfully ended. It provides transparency and reassurance, even if you don’t use the mobile app.
Security benefits
With the rise of fraud and RFID cards being cloned, this new layer of communication helps you:
Identify and report any unauthorized activity immediately.
Detect if your MSP card or token has been cloned or used without your consent.
Opting out of notifications
If you prefer not to receive these email notifications, you can opt out at any time by following these steps:
Visit the E-Flux by Road website.
Go to your Profile and Settings.
Select the Notifications tab.
Toggle off the options for charging session start and end email notifications.
Handling email notifications sent to outdated addresses
If charging session emails are being sent to an outdated email address, you can update your settings as follows:
Open the E-Flux by Road application.
Navigate to Settings and choose Notification Preferences.
Identify the notifications tied to your outdated email.
Either:
Turn off email notifications linked to the outdated address.
Update the notification recipient to your current, verified email address. Updating your email or disabling notifications for outdated addresses ensures you're only receiving updates to the correct inbox.
Troubleshooting notifications
If you're still facing issues, here are a few troubleshooting tips:
Double-check that your email settings have been saved correctly.
Verify that you’ve updated your email address across both account and application settings.
Contact support through the E-Flux by Road help center if the problem persists. By following these steps, you can ensure smooth management of email notifications.
